Building a local sustainable food network in Western Australia

The Backyard Pantry exists to help West Australian farmers and producers sell their products directly to you, the consumer.

Short food supply chains that connect people directly to sources of locally produced food can increase the resilience and sustainability of food systems

Now, more than ever, we want to know where our food comes from. We want to know which farming practices are used and which products, chemicals and ingredients are added to our food, drink and hygiene products.  Shorter supply chains help increase transparency and mutual trust between producers and consumers.

With the Backyard Pantry, you get to see the amazing products WA has on offer. You can choose who you want to buy from and meet the people behind the products. We’re here to help build stronger communities, bringing together like-minded people and making fresh, healthy food easily accessible for all West Australians.
