Traditional 100% Natural, Locally Grown Food for a Healthy Family
Established in November 2002
The markets showcase the wonderful diversity of fresh locally grown produce: fruit in season, from apples, pears, stone fruit etc and beautiful fresh vegetables locally grown and picked close to market with very little food miles involved. Goat meat and lamb vans have high quality pasture fed meat products and plenty of seafood items. There will be goat’s milk and cheese, sheep cheese, honey and honey products, olives and olive oils, macadamia and pecan nut products.
Not only can you buy fresh eggs at the market, you can purchase chooks for your chook pens in all shapes and sizes. The plant stalls have local healthy plants for your garden, stalls of succulents and a great variety of herbs. The hay man has plenty of pea hay, sheep poo and there is compost too.
Two coffee vans compliment the markets and you can also buy freshly roasted coffee beans to take home. A market always needs a sausage sizzle, and we always have a raffle with a great prize of a huge hamper with goodies donated by the stall holders. To go with your coffee there is French pastries, baked goodies including cake, biscuits and gluten free food.
The preserve stalls have a large variety of jams, chutneys, pickled onions and African style preserves for those that like them a little spicy and a special salt blends stall. Wine is available for tasting and purchasing from local wineries. The artisan stalls have a high quality of handmade items for sale including eco safe products, locally made skincare, patchwork and much more.
Markets run the fourth Sunday of each month. See our “Shop Policies” for upcoming market dates.
